Norman Steele………………………President

Hi, I’m Norman Troy Steele, President of Paramount Youth football and Cheer.
Our mission is to strengthen young men and women both on and off the football field.
Young people, always remember that your time as a athlete is a brief part of your life, but a education last forever.

Bruce Walker……………………Vice President

Greetings! I am Bruce Walker the Vice President of Paramount Youth Football and Cheer. I’m a local guy who attended Dominguez High School where I maintained a 3.5 G.P.A and earned a scholarship to UCLA, then was fortunate enough to be drafted into the National Football League (NFL). I played with the New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles and San Diego Chargers. After retiring from football, I began coaching at Compton City College before becoming a youth coach. I feel it’s my duty to give back to the youth community and help prepare them by giving the tools needed where they can earn a free education and possibly make a successful career for themselves.

Melissa Mendez……………….Cheer Coordinator

Hello my name is Melissa Mendez and I am the Paramount Pirates Cheer Coordinator. I have been a Cheer Coach & Coordinator in Youth Football & Cheer for the last four years to some fantastic Cheerleaders ages 4 through 13. I feel it is my responsibility to create an environment where every Cheerleader will be given an opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of Cheerleading through hard work and a commitment to their squads. Our program invites all skill levels and promotes Integrity, Leadership & Teamwork. Cheerleaders inspire and ignite spectators to get involved in the game and cheer our Football teams to Victory. I strongly believe that each Cheerleader should be proud to represent the community and take pride in knowing they are a Paramount Pirates Cheerleader both on and off the field.

I am fortunate to have an experienced staff that shares this vision, so come out and join us as we kick off our inaugural season with a roaring “LET’S GO PIRATES! LET’S GO!”
